The Aventure 3 ships as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. The Aventure 3 will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area that only allows Class I ebikes or throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX5-rated standard. An IPX5 rating means the bike is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This provides a moderate level of water resistance, allowing you to ride in light to moderate rain or through small puddles. However, IPX5 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or high-pressure sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components. *Max range is determined using PAS 1 on flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.*
